When to Wear Compression Boxer Briefs
So, what’s the difference between compression boxer briefs and compression shorts? Overall, not too much. But we can look to a few key differences that distinguish the two.
For starters, compression boxer briefs are a hybrid between compression shorts and boxer briefs, encompassing qualities of both. Just like boxer briefs, you can wear your compression boxer briefs all day, anytime.
While this is true for your compression shorts, as well, compression boxer briefs have a few modifications that result in a more relaxed fit for extended wear. For example, the material is likely to be made of the same fabrics but with a modified blend.
Often this is slightly decreasing the percentage of polyester while increasing the percent of spandex, which results in a less compressive feel.
So, if you were competing in a sporting event or heading to a workout, you’d probably opt for your typical compression shorts. But if you wanted something a bit more relaxed to wear for a longer period, or if your activity is not going to be very strenuous, you might prefer opting for some compression boxer briefs.
